What we offer
Hi and welcome to mtheory. An email and web solution for normal people. We provide:
- 2GB of combined email and web space
- Access to your email via Pop, Imap and the web
- Weblogs using Wordpress
- Spam control using Spam Assassin
- An internet based disk drive for storing your files known as a mDisk
- A support wiki to try and help you out when you get stuck
Our aims
Our aims are to try and make the web as accessible as possible and provide simple, powerful tools to our users to let them get the most out of the internet. Why? We believe that you don't want to spend days working out how to communicate information with your friends, colleagues or even complete strangers. Instead you just want to take your content and publish it, preferably in a professional looking format. With this in mind we have many more features that we would like to implement and loads of support articles that we want to write. Some of the features that we are currently working on are:
- Simple drag and drop photo gallery so you can publish your photos online with ease
- A standards based calendar that you can sync across multiple devices
Open Source
The entire of mtheory is currently open source based. Though to be fair we have no objections to closed source software, it's just that we aren't going to pay for it. One of the key advantages of open source software is that it is customisable and in many cases has a mass of free documenation and support on the web.
Joining mtheory
We are afraid that mtheory is invite only and this is unlikely to change during the course of 2007. However if you know someone who has an account then you can ask them to request an account for you and the chances are that a username and password will appear in your inbox..
